Dismantling of production lines for reuse

Our client in the south of the country wanted to transfer its production facilities to another location. DDM was asked to dismantle the existing production lines for reuse.

The project had to be completed within 6 weeks. We have put together a team of dismantling specialists and created a project plan and progress schedule.

We have started dismantling the power supplies. Once everything was disconnected, we started carefully disassembling the individual parts of the production lines and packaging line. Subsequently, the steel structures associated with the production lines were demolished, including the concrete structures. Next to the production hall were a number of silos that were part of the production process. We dismantled these, lifted them off and prepared them for transport. As soon as the dismantling work was completed, we demolished the steel structure. We delivered the hall completely empty and clean to the client.

We had a very pleasant time working with the client. This resulted in us completing the work within the specified period of 6 weeks to the full satisfaction of the customer. The delivery report was a huge positive boost for the project team!

DDM was rewarded with a World Demolition Award in the Civils category.

Removing 5 arch bridges over the Amsterdam Rhine Canal was an intensive job. The schedule was tight and the expectations of all employees were high. But with a joint effort and incredible passion, DDM has successfully removed and recycled the 5 bridges within schedule.

Every year DDM holds a number of safety days to boost safety awareness.

Last year's objectives are evaluated and new objectives are determined. All managers and all operational employees discuss safety, policy and vision together. In addition to all regular training courses, DDM offers workshops and training to all employees during these days to take the qualities of the professionals to an even higher level. Together with all DDM employees, we are working on an increasingly higher safety ethic. Everyone at DDM carries out their work in a safe and healthy manner, with sufficient attention to the environment. And they're getting better at it. This applies to everyone; back to work healthy and safe and back home healthy.
