Demolition production plant Mechelen
Our customer in Mechelen is a manufacturer of washing and dishwashing products such as 'Dry Tabs'.
Because of a change in their business strategies, the customer decided that the production of these 'Dry Tabs' would be discontinued. As a result, we, DDM, were instructed to remove all equipment, systems and pipelines related to this production.
After the start-up in April 2017, the project will gradually come to an end after a year and a half. All machines, materials and equipment were transported to De Meern and / or other projects before Christmas. For example, our 90-tonne crawler crane will now be used for a major demolition work in the port of Antwerp.
During the entire duration of the project, we have performed approximately 30,500 hours of work, and this without accidents, thanks to the skills of the people of DDM and our subcontractors. We can conclude that DDM will be able to close the project in a safe and healthy way after one and a half years. We have realized this together and we can be very proud of this. On top of this, the client once again showed great satisfaction with the work done by DDM this week, which is a motivation for our future projects.
