Removal of a signal tower in Schwedt
Recently, a signal tower was demolished near Schwedt, Germany, by several dismantling specialists of DDM Deutschland.
Before the DDM dismantling specialists could start demolishing the signal tower, protective measures had to be taken to ensure safety during the work. For example, steel plates were laid down, including a drop bed to protect the ground and underground cables and pipes. These protective measures ensured that a safe demolition method could be followed.
After applying these control measures, the building was stripped and protective layers were removed from the floors. The roofing was then removed and the signal tower could finally be demolished with our long-arm demolition crane and scissors. The foundations and floor plates were removed to below ground level.
The various waste streams were then separated and disposed of in the appropriate containers. The building was professionally demolished and the client indicated that they were very satisfied with the way in which DDM removed the building.
